The verdict is about whether the study's evidence covers your specific situation, not whether the tactic is ever worth trying.
What to do:
Price Reality · Evidence system
Most pricing advice is a real experiment with every condition stripped off, then restated as a law. Pick a tactic you're considering, answer the questions the original study actually asked, and watch a verdict change from sounds true to applies to you, or does not apply to you, here is why. No email gate and no AI interpretation.

The star mechanic
Pick a tactic. Answer the boundary-condition questions the underlying study asked. The tool returns Applies, Does Not Apply, or Depends, Test It, with the study and its date cited. No verdict is generated by AI; every branch is a fixed rule against the reviewed record.

One evidence layer
The conditions check, the claim checker, and the Index are generated from one claims file. Each record has a stable ID, aliases, verdict, finding, primary source, action, category, evidence status, first and last review dates, research version, and change note.
No. It checks a tactic against the boundary conditions the original study drew, and tells you whether your situation is inside or outside that boundary. It does not predict revenue, conversion, or performance.
No. Every verdict is a fixed, human-authored rule against the same versioned dataset as the Claims Index. The matching and the decision logic are deterministic, not a model call.
The active dataset is reviewed at least quarterly and after any material new pricing study surfaces. Each record shows its last review date and change note.
Because the study behind it drew a boundary the popular retelling dropped. A 9-ending works most reliably on a new item with no competing Sale cue. The left-digit effect needs the whole-dollar digit to roll over. Outside those conditions, the evidence does not cover your case.
