Reach Reality

Use this method when you need to answer: Is this repeated LinkedIn algorithm claim supported by dated evidence? It turns the evidence you supply into a Sourced verdict and evidence record by applying explicit, versioned decision rules. The result is not a benchmark or certification. It shows the strongest evidence, riskiest input, next action, owner, and review date so another reader can inspect and challenge the decision.

Question answered

Is this repeated LinkedIn algorithm claim supported by dated evidence?

Reach Reality uses one versioned claims dataset to generate both the interactive checker and the human-readable Claims Index.

Step 1

Every verdict requires a stable ID, aliases, finding, primary source, action, category, evidence status, review dates, research version, and change note.

Step 2

The evidence-exposure score counts selected myths and contested claims; it does not predict reach.

Step 3

Material platform disclosures trigger review and the active dataset receives a full review at least quarterly.

Step 4

Record the required inputs and label missing or estimated evidence before classification.

Step 5

Apply the versioned decision rule and preserve the reason behind each row state.

Assumptions and limits

  • Observational platform studies do not establish causality unless the source does.

Usefulness hypothesis

Sourced verdicts replace fabricated algorithm rules in real content decisions.

Primary metric: Verdict copy, share-card download, or Claims Index deep-link

Worked example and modes

Claim Text
LinkedIn cut company-page organic reach 60-66% between 2024 and early 2026 to force companies into paid ads.

Real Finding
Metricool's 673,658-post, 63,108-account global study found company-page impressions per post down about 10% year over year (Jan-Feb 2025 vs Jan-Feb 2026). Larger account tiers grew; tiny and small tiers fell 27.52% and 12.19%. No transparent study supports a platform-wide 60-66% collapse.
Do Instead
Benchmark your own account's median reach across at least 10 posts before assuming a platform-wide collapse.

Method questions

What another reader should know.

What does the Reach Reality method produce?

A versioned Sourced verdict and evidence record with visible reasoning, evidence status, next action, ownership, and review date.

What inputs does Reach Reality require?

Only the structured decision evidence named by the instrument. Missing or estimated inputs remain visible in the result.

Does the method use AI or a cross-customer benchmark?

No. It applies deterministic rules to the user's inputs and does not compare one customer with another.

When is the method reviewed or changed?

The current method is reviewed at least every 90 days. Material changes require new fixtures, a version increment, and a public change note.

When should the artifact move into facilitated work?

When the unresolved decision requires team challenge, evidence reconciliation, dissent, ownership, and an organizational commitment.
